The Petrolin Group announces the signing of the Interministerial Order authorizing the operation of the Parakou Dry Port in Benin by its infrastructure subsidiary PIC Network Ltd.

The commissioning of this logistics platform connected to the national rail and road network will help relieve congestion at the Autonomous Port of Cotonou and strengthen the logistics offering of the Beninese corridor.

The Parakou Dry Port constitutes an essential component of the Epine Dorsale Project, an integrated logistics corridor project aimed at offering efficient and competitive solutions for the transport of imports and exports from countries in the sub-region (Benin, Niger, Burkina Faso , Mali and Nigeria).

Following this announcement, the founding President of the Petrolin Group, Mr. Samuel Dossou-Aworet, declared: the signing of the Interministerial Order is a mark of confidence which reflects the continued strengthening of the public-private partnership between Petrolin and the Government of Benin for the implementation of the Spine Dorsale Project since 2010. With the commissioning of the Parakou Dry Port, a new stage is beginning and which will contribute to the growth of Benin's economy as well as to that of the landlocked countries and areas of the sub-region.
